Unsomnia AI ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Unsomnia app. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
The short version: Your voice recordings are transcribed entirely on your device and never uploaded to our servers. We collect minimal data, and your dreams stay private.
Voice Recordings
When you record a dream, the audio is processed entirely on your device using iOS's built-in speech recognition. Your voice recording never leaves your phone unless you explicitly choose to back it up.
Dream Transcripts
The text transcription of your dreams is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, transcripts may be synced to our secure servers for backup and cross-device access. You can disable cloud sync at any time.

Unsomnia uses AI to extract entities (people, places, themes) and analyse sentiment in your dreams. This processing occurs on our servers using your transcript text only. We do not use your dream content to train AI models.
Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app.
